This position can sit anywhere in the United States within close proximity to a major airport.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The Strategic Initiatives Director will drive GI division strategic initiatives that will position the division to deliver long term profitable growth through strategy execution.This role will lead critical global initiatives related to strategy development, market planning, customer experience enhancement, stakeholder alignment and M&A process management.It serves as a key member of the Marketing leadership organization and helps implement the strategy for General Industrial.
Position Responsibilities
Global strategy development
Mange M&A Process (Identification, Tracking, Report Out & Integration)
Lead OP strategic initiatives tracking
Global market planning development with Segment Directors
Global project alignment and communication
Drive global strategy alignment with regional and global segment teams
Manage research and trend analysis for global market segments
Use marketing analytics to drive market segment/product profitability/sales
Develop, coach and manage talent
Stay within budget and timelines in achieving the above results

Strategy
Lead the regional strategy process to refine gap analysis for targeted segments in each region
Support development of OP Deck and key initiatives tracking
Evaluate Segmentation of markets and customers to maximize business opportunities within GI to define potential new markets to participate in
Prioritize and coordinate strategic imperatives (channel, products, global accounts, pricing, etc.) across regions.
Identify and analyze leading and lagging indicators to forecast future size and growth of P&M markets
M&A analysis and recommendations 

Process Development
Lead and develop best practices for business processes: ex: CAC reporting, stage gate and segment alignment, Global project coordination
Lead key strategic projects as defined each strategy cycle: ex: Lab Work Request Process Improvements, Digital Roadmap Support, New Market Exploration, Service Improvement Projects
Represent GI and drive momentum on projects requiring support from stakeholders outside of GI (GSC, IT, PCG Group, etc.)
M&A Process
Update and maintain list of potential target companies
Work with Segment and Business leaders to drive M&A strategy
Manage Stage 1 & 2 Decks for Internal Discussions
Lead data management during identified acquisition processes
Manage key M&A processes during due diligence, close and integration stages
Track and export out synergy and key initiatives tracking during integration
Communications
Effective thought leadership working with Segment and Global Leadership teams.
Communicate key messages throughout the organization and to leadership
Cross functional coordination on business processes including product management and lab.

Leadership & Change Management
Focus on overcoming internal barriers in achieving objectives.
Work cooperatively with Management in all Global locations
Lead change management as needed to achieve strategic goals
Effective talent management, development, and succession planning.
