The Hotshot Driver is responsible for delivering small, time-sensitive loads to support the needs of construction personnel. The Hotshot Driver will ensure building materials and components are delivered timely, safely, efficiently, and free of damage.

Essential Functions
Assists in the expedited delivery of building materials and/or components; loading and transporting materials/components between plants and/or construction jobsites; ensuring materials/components are delivered and unloaded according to MBI's safety and quality standards.
Complies with all DOT regulations including but not limited to pre-trip inspections, maintaining proper paperwork and DOT logs, and adherence to Hours of Service.
Collaborates with various plant personnel to ensure deliveries meet customer expectations, communicating clearly and frequently with Traffic Managers and cooperating with plant personnel when changes to loads and/or scheduling is required.
Supports the maintenance of vehicles and equipment, reporting issues in a timely manner to appropriate personnel and adhering to maintenance schedules.
Fosters a teamwork environment, substituting deliveries for assigned work duties in the plant or repair shop, when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
Ability to safely operate a telehandler
Thorough understanding of DOT requirements
Proven safe driving record and DOT compliance
Able to work independently, as well as within a team setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
Dedicated to creating an environment focused on safety, quality, continual process improvement, and profitability
Ability to work weekends, including overnight stays, when needed
