job summary:
A Material Coordinator for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Cary, IL area. This position is responsible for the Operations portion of our calibration program as it pertains to manufacturing equipment controlling documentation and calibrated parts storage.

responsibilities:
+ Runs Inventory Department consolidating parts across the plant looking for opportunities to share resources when appropriate.
+ Works with outside vendors insuring best price effectiveness with all parts orders.
+ Provides support across multiple business functions.
+ Reports into the tower for purchases obtaining secondary quotes when pertinent while always looking for opportunities to save through bulk ordering or direct to ship opportunities.
+ Maintain safe Inventory/Supplies levels setting mins and maxes to keep in line with company’s policies on inventory control while not running short.
+ Consistently maintains and organizes all spare parts.
+ Run cycle counts and perform associated tasks to insure parts levels
+ Work with engineering providing support for parts ordering and preferred vendors support.
