Job Description
The Production departments create personalized gifts for our customers. The Assistant Supervisor supports the Department Supervisor in a Production Warehouse environment, to provide a consistent, expedient, and efficient product to service our customers.
- Daily monitoring of department efficiencies using reports and calculations from admin and tracking information for supervisor
- Inspects and distributes picked materials to production lines and personnel
- Continuously monitor backlog for movement on all orders, especially express orders
- Ability to operate all the department relevant production equipment
- Ensures equipment settings are correct for the current need
- Guides and assists POC’s and production staff to meet required output levels
- Performs routine maintenance and assists auto production team to diagnose and repair equipment
- Reports safety issues, policy violations and quality issues to department supervisor
- Assists the supervisor with training and staff adjustments
- Encourage an environment of high morale and high-performance expectations
- Maintaining great attendance and punctuality are crucial
- Any department specific tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- Must possess strong training/facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills including verbal expression and comprehension
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Exhibits energetic and motivating behaviors
- Provides recommendations to improve productivity when appropriate
- Capable of delegating and multitasking
- Understanding of production line and equipment capacities
- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications
- Shows initiative; willing to learn and grow with the company
- Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)
