Job Description
Elevance Health, Inc. seeks an Application Architect Sr in Chicago, IL.
Duties: Recommend new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment, and drive new technologies towards implementation and exploitation. Develop net-new architecture for the components. Define architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards. Direct the construction of architecture components including data architecture, application architecture, and technical architecture. Translate business strategies into requirements compatible with current technical architectures. Define systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and evolutionary roadmaps that define, support, and communicate the strategic direction of the architectures and technical strategies. Outline how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience with Application Architecture.
This position also requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: Infrastructure and backend engineering; and programming languages, frameworks and technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, REST, MicroServices, MVC, XML, Integration tools, React, Angular, and JSON. This position also requires three (3) years of experience with NoSQL including Redis, MongoDB, or DynamoDB; and relational database technologies including MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. This position also requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills and technologies: Developing modern continuous deployment platforms.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study, plus three (3) years of experience with Application Architecture.
