We are currently hiring for:
Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Wage Range: $19 - $21 per hour depending on experience + $1.50 Shift Premium
Job Summary: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for clerical and administrative duties in the shipping department. The Shipping Clerk will handle all documentation for shipments and ensure accurate billing for all items shipped out.
Job Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and manage the office to make sure all of our customer's needs are met.
Maintain the security board and make sure it is up to date.
Ensure that all inventories are correct at the time of shipment to prevent errors prior to the load leaving the premises.
Complete all paperwork for outbound customer loads and inner company loads.
Run daily inventories and report the discrepancies to the Team Lead or Supervisor to clear up andthen follow up with accounting to make sure that inventory is corrected.
Set up andmake sure all distribution orders are cleared for all intercompany transfer both inbound and outbound to West Liberty Foods in West Liberty, Lineage in Mt. Pleasant, and Liberty Cold.
Key in/out all intercompany transfers into Lineage's inventory.
Schedule appointmnts fo the Mt. Pleasant facility.
Ensure the appointment teims are posted daily for outbound and inbound loads for both dry and refrigeration products.
Complete shipping pre-op inspections on a daily basis, report issues to Supevisor, and make sure it is sent to proer personnel.
Enter requisitions into QAD for all invoices.
Receive all of the QAD POs.
Document all of the repairs to our equipment.
File and maintain all paperwork.
Contact the appropriate vendor when trailers are down in order to get them repaired.
Ensure trailer registrations are put on the trailers and kep up to date and also make sure the federal inspections are current on the reefer trailers at all times.
When the Warehouse Manager is gone, the Shipping Coordinator is responsbile for ensuring the drivers are on task and coordinates with the Team Lead about their daily workloads.
Coordinate with the Production Schedulers regarding then product is needing to be run and scheduling loads back from Lineage as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read and write English.
Must have an attention to detail.
Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
Ability to perform basic math.
Computer experience is required. Experience with Google Suite a plus.
Must practice good personal hygiene.
Work extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed.
Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
