Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist with strong working knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and associated subject matter expertise, wetland delineations, and regulatory coordination. Potential to lead and grow our NEPA group including programmatic support, proposal response development, and active project management of NEPA projects.
This position will support our environmental services for federal, transportation, power, industrial, and education clients. Field work will include visits to client sites throughout the country when requested. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Must be a highly motivated, driven self-starter that is customer focused and works well in a team environment. This is an excellent opportunity to play an integral role within the Stanley organization to help us better serve the environment, our customers, and the communities in which they live.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in an environmental science field (biology, geology, environmental engineering, natural resources, environmental planning, environmental management, or related field).
5-15 years' experience.
Strong working knowledge of all NEPA processes and documents including but not limited to CatExs, EA/FONSI, EISs, RODs.
NEPA experience with Federal agencies.
Knowledge of environmental regulatory programs.
Excellent technical writing skills. The successful candidate must be capable of summarizing investigation findings and field methods. Also, candidate may be assisting/leading the technical portion of NEPA proposal efforts alongside business development and other project management staff.
Strong communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with scientists/engineers, project managers, and clients in the execution of projects.
Organized, disciplined, and able to work independently.
Proficient with Microsoft office products.
