The team you will be a part of
As a member of Nokia Digital Office- Enterprise Compute & Cloud Services, you will be part of a team that is redefining IT and shaping the future of Nokia and our digital and data center optimization transformation. The Enterprise Compute & Cloud Services team ensures the stability, availability, and high performance of the infrastructure that serves Nokia's entire workforce and upholds the technology for almost every interaction of the company's business.
What you will learn and contribute to
The Head of Cloud Engineering and Operations will manage a team of cloud operations and engineering specialists, oversee cloud migrations and new deployments, and optimize cloud infrastructure post-migration. The Lead will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing performance to develop the correct competence level in the team to support the three main public cloud environments (GCP, Azure, and AWS). The Lead will drive our multi-cloud strategy, support the optimization of workloads, and ensure effective cost management.
As part of the team, you will:
Create a cloud center of excellence for Nokia and a seamless workflow between engineering and operations
Interface with HCL for Cloud Operations and to reduce the number and duration of outage incidences
Oversee cloud migrations and new deployments, ensuring successful and efficient execution
Work with other teams to define and implement best practices for cloud operations and engineering
Optimize cloud infrastructure post-migration to provide the highest levels of reliability, security, and performance
Develop and maintain operational metrics, including service levels and cost of ownership
Continuously monitor and report on the health and performance of cloud services and systems


Your skills and experience
You have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
10+ years of experience in cloud operations and engineering, a cloud certification, plus experience with multi-cloud environments and managing a team of cloud operations and engineering specialists
Must have NSA clearance to manage NSA Retained
Deep understanding of cloud architecture and technologies, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
Demonstrated experience with cloud migration and deployment methodologies, including automated and manual approaches, as well as experience in cloud optimization and cost management
Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements in addition to cloud and infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and issue tracking
Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

It would be nice if you also had:
General knowledge about OpenStack or VMWare as a virtualization platform
Experience with industry frameworks and methodologies: ITIL/Agile/Scrum/DevOps/SRE
