Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing oversight of in-depth analysis including key drivers of the financial, medical cost and operational performance of various segments within the enterprise, monitor variances with competitors and industry benchmarks and developing insights that can be used by executive leadership to make decisions. The individual will also work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop visually appealing dashboards and reports that provide the necessary insights. The role requires a deep understanding of data and analytics technologies and their role in driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, with experience leading teams in a complex business environment. They should be able to translate business needs into actionable data insights, present concise but meaningful analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, and comfortable working in a changing business environment
Required Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of financial accounting concepts and ability to analyze financial statements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Understanding of the key drivers of the cost of care
* Experience in the health insurance industry
* Experience managing a team of data analysts and scientists.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to executive leadership in a visually appealing manner.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing business needs.
* Familiarity with industry-standard analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI.
