Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Water and Wastewater Engineer reporting to our Bloomington, IL office with the flexibility to be based in Peoria or Champaign, IL offices. Farnsworth Group provides a variety of services to support our municipal and industrial clients for the development and upgrade of water and wastewater systems. Our experience ranges from feasibility studies to new facility construction to funding assistance for water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution, as well as wastewater conveyance and treatment. Our engineers and scientists deliver interdisciplinary solutions to meet the wide range of client needs.
Services include:
Condition assessments/audits
Inflow infiltration analysis
Modeling for water and sanitary sewer systems
SSO/CSO evaluations/elimination
Sewershed studies
Booster and pump station design
Subsurface utility engineering
Transmission, collection, and conveyance design
Water transmission and distribution system design
Sludge treatment and disposal
Industrial pretreatment
Enhanced nutrient removal upgrades
Water treatment design
Disinfection byproducts and corrosion control strategies
Regulatory strategies and negotiations
NPDES permitting
Specific Requirements include:
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree preferred
5 plus years of Civil Engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Modeling experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks a plus
Storm water management design experience preferred
Participate in business development activities and proposals
Strong project management and organizational skills
Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
