The Senior Regional Program Director of Early Learning has primary responsibility for operational management and instructional quality of Early Learning and Early Learning Enrichment programming at the association level. This includes collaborating with educational and other external partners, identifying new potential partners/sites/programs, and managing new and existing programming/sites in accordance with all applicable licensing and funding requirements. This role contributes to and operationalizes high-quality, innovative instructional programming while leading and motivating a diverse team focused on the YMCA's mission, communities, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Scope of Responsibilities
Program and Operations Management
Disseminates the YMCA's vision for early learning programming, including but not limited to preschool and early learning enrichment programs, establishes culture, and drives the strategic plan for the portfolio.
Develops and executes on short-and long term plans for the region to expand early learning programming and partners.
Cultivates relationships with educational, community, and civic leaders and other potential external partners to articulate the YMCA's value while displaying cultural and community awareness; creates new and innovative solutions with partners to meet community needs within fiscal guidelines.
Champions instructional quality as an instructional leader and partners with R &E and others to ensure we deliver high-quality programming.
Ensures that programs adhere to all safety policies and guidelines the YMCA and external partners set.
Ensures compliance with government and grant contracts within contract guidelines.
Partners internally and externally to seek out and develop new revenue streams and collaborative programming opportunities to supplement, enhance, stabilize, and expand early learning programming and initiatives.
Develops a high-performance culture by setting expectations, evaluating performance, coaching for success, and being in continuous improvement. Leads and champions program continuous improvement efforts within the portfolio.
Provides leadership to exempt and full/part-time non-exempt staff and volunteers and provides on-site and off-site program support in leadership's absence to ensure DCFS compliance.
Provides leadership to early learning program launches and new program development.
Creates and manages operating budgets; meets/exceeds budget forecast, including revenue and margin targets.
Supports the mission and strategic plan of the YMCA with other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Team Management
Provides professional development to team members to enhance staff learning, career development, and operational effectiveness. Facilitates meetings, in-services, and internal/external presentations.
Identifies, manages, and motivates a high-performing team that accomplishes program objectives. Hires, on boards and trains team members and provides ongoing training and development in accordance with program standards. Ensures staff are compliant with required training and certifications. Creates partnerships with external stakeholders to build strong acquition pipelines.
Establishes specific, measurable performance standards for staff and communicates those expectations to staff through various platforms. Monitors and evaluates team goals and performance standards. Evaluates team members and provide coaching and intervention, as necessary. Coaches, mentors, and develops team members to optimize performance.
