Job Summary
This small team of engineering specialists is responsible for environmental site assessments, groundwater studies and site remediations. Expected projects include Phase I/II environmental site assessments, RI/FS, PSI, LUST, Groundwater Studies, and Brownfield Remediation.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for proposals.
Manage tasks and/or the technical aspects of multiple projects to meet deliverable requirements.
Direct or perform environmental and geotechnical sample collection of soil, water, and air to characterize geo-environmental conditions.
Compile data and provide evaluation and interpretation.
Computer modeling of groundwater flow, for dams, levees, mines, and remediation sites.
Develop environmental and geoscience reports.
Interact with clients on project day to day scheduling.
Coordinate schedules and services with subconsultants and labs.
Comply with safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology from an accredited university/college with a strong geotechnical or geology background
4+ years of relevant work experience overseeing projects from site remediation through to completion including knowledge of state-specific soil and groundwater standards.
Engineering/Geology license.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients in a matrixed environment.
Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
Proactive and self-directed with the ability to prioritize.
Ability to work in industrial and petrochemical facilities, including work outside and in confined spaces.
Experience with AutoCAD; geotechnical/geology specific software such as gINT, SEEP/W, GEOSLOPE, L-PILE is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license
15% travel (i.e., job sites) may be required based upon business need.
