Position Summary
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Receptionist in the Director’s Office. Under direction, this position will answer phones, greet visitors, distribute mail, serve as timekeeper, and perform general clerical functions. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s operations. Job Responsibilities1. Serves as Receptionist for the Director’s Office
2. Receives, opens, sorts, date stamps, and distributes incoming mail to appropriate staff in a timely manner
3. Keyboards and prepares a variety of complex materials, including but not limited to highly technical reports, statistical data, Department forms, and correspondence
4. Provides clerical assistance to Director’s staff, including the processing and completion of travel vouchers and out-of-state travel requests
5. Serves as timekeeper
6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
