Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining individual and family pharmacy strategy and oversight. This includes but is not limited to formulary, pharmacy network, developing and distributing effective cost and utilization reports describing pharmacy cost and utilization trends, developing a pharmacy program with emphasis on disease management and clinical outcomes, providing for the effective auditing of participating pharmacies, developing and maintaining effective management of the contracted Pharmaceutical Benefit Manager (PBM), and for the overall effectiveness of the clinical and operations pharmacy teams. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with management and professional staff within HCSC and with external health care providers to improve quality of healthcare, optimize health outcomes and improve the cost of care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Registered Pharmacist in the state of operations.
* 4 years' experience in managed care pharmaceuticals.
* 3 years of managerial experience in the Pharmacy environment.
* Ability and experience managing a budget to appropriately establish targets.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Experience leading a team and/or managing people
*Verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal skills to direct team, work across internal departments and represent the company to external agencies, as well as executive leadership.
*Negotiation and problem-solving skills a plus.
* Analytical skills.
* Corporate Pharmacist experience including experience with pharmacy practice guidelines or practice parameters; review of formulary programs, Pharmacoeconomics; or pharmacy quality improvement processes/techniques.
