Job Description
Responsible for analyzing and creating recipes to add to menu as well as assign prices to the menu items. Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food. Prepare and cook foods of all types, on a regular basis to meet restaurant needs. Responsible for planning, directing and supervising food preparation. Coordinate planning, budgeting, or purchasing for all the food preparations and establishments. Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes. Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept. Responsible for the recruiting and hiring process of cooks.
