Job Description
As a Solid Waste Engineering Project Manager you will be involved in:
+ The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities.
+ General civil/environmental engineering duties
+ Design of all aspects of landfills:
+ Double composite liner systems
+ Leachate conveyance and storage facilities
+ Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities
+ Landfill gas collection/treatment systems
+ On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures
+ Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities
+ Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans
+ Review of projects for compliance with plans/specifications
+ Strong client and project management skills:
+ Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills required;
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
+ An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Qualifications+ 10-15+ years experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities;
+ Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process;
+ B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus);
+ Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure;
+ Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
