Ascension Presence Behavioral Health is looking to hire an Experienced Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Presence Behavioral Health provides a continuum of community based clinical services on an outpatient basis to adults and families dealing with emotional, behavioral and social problems.

We offer comprehensive psychiatric and clinical care for individuals who suffer emotional distress or psychiatric disorders. Services include psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring, individual and group therapy, individual and group counseling, and parent education.

Located on the campus of Ascension Mercy : 1325 North Highland Ave Aurora, IL 60506
Schedule: Part Time, 20 Hours per week ( Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays) Must provide two 8 hour shifts( 10AM-6PM) and one 4 hour shift(9AM-1PM).

Responsibilities
Job Duties:
+ Obtain patient history and perform Psychiatric evaluations via observation, interview and examination.
+ Collaborates with medical staff on site to provide the required medical care.
+ Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
+ Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
+ Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
+ Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
+ Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
+ Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
+ Master’s degree of Nursing required.
Additional Preferences
+ Experience working as a Psychiatric NP is highly preferred.
