Job Title: Network Administrator II
Locations: Multiple Locations (Rock Island IL ; Fort Huachuca, AZ ; Fort Detrick, MD ; Fort Stewart, GA ; Carlisle Barracks, PA ; Fort Dix, NJ; Ft Rucker, AL; Ft. Eisenhower, GA (Ft. Gordon))
Clearance: Secret
Certifications: CompTIA Security+CE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field desired.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Minimum three (3) years of experience in providing the full range of network management and administration support in a multi-platform, automated office environment.
+ Leads tasks and supervises staff in installing network hardware and software, and maintains day-to-day management and configuration control over LAN/WAN operations.
+ Provides daily O&M and manages network performance and maintains network security.
+ Maintains the system by troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software problems; evaluates and implements network policies and procedures to ensure there is conformance with information systems and organizational objectives.
+ Has extensive knowledge of PC/network communications hardware and software in a multi-protocol environment and network management tools and software.
+ Manages network performance and maintains network security.
+ Ensures security procedures are implemented and enforced.
+ Installs network hardware and software; troubleshoots network problems; implements network policies, procedures and standards; and ensures systems are in conformance with organizational objectives.
+ Other responsibilities could include training local users on network operations.
