Finance Manager – Commercial Operations

Summary of Objective:

The primary focus of the Finance Manager – Commercial Operations is to provide strategic support, as well as leading and performing value-added financial analysis, financial planning, monthly reporting activities, etc., in order to provide timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders, to support efficient and effective business decisions. You will report to the Finance Director (“FD”) and work closely together with other business leaders of the Commercial division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Together with the Finance Director (“FD”), you will be responsible for setting the financial direction for the commercial division within the Rockford manufacturing site. You will also lead the business planning and financial forecasting cycles and support the implementation of the financial and operational strategies.

+ The Finance Manager is responsible for providing strategic support, as well as performing value-added financial analysis, financial planning, monthly reporting activities, etc., to provide timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders, to support efficient and effective business decisions.

+ Drive continuous improvement of internal financial reporting and forecasting processes by establishing and maintaining high quality accuracy standards, developing and modifying forecasting templates and tools, automating processes, enhancing reporting system capabilities, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures and controls

+ Perform analysis and support the Finance Director in all aspects of cash flow with a strong focus on delivering continuous improvements in Net Working Capital management (accounts receivable, inventory management and accounts payable).

+ Develop, implement and maintain a cost management system to ensure operating costs are in line with approved budgets and support ad-hoc financial analysis, formulate recommendations to site leadership team.

+ Perform investment analysis and define key financial assumptions for major investment projects, including the preparation and completion of the subsequent capital expenditure request (“CER”).

+ Direct and supervise a team of 2 and proactively manage and coach the team and provide for other employee development opportunities.

+ Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

+ Performs other duties and corporate finance projects as assigned by Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

+ Relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering with multi-levels across businesses required, with deep exposure to Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.

+ Superior analytical skills in combination with excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Exceptionally well organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.

+ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.

+ Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Excel, forecasting and financial modelling.

+ Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with attention to detail?and strategic thinking.?

+ Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, work independently and with minimal direction.

+ High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results.

+ “Roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field with 7+ years related work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

+ A hybrid schedule could be accommodated for the successful candidate after an initial training period at our offices in Rockford, IL. During this training period, candidate is expected to be onsite 4-5 days a week.
