What you will learn and contribute to
The Licensing Team is now looking for a Licensing Director to join their team in NAM. The Licensing Director is responsible for negotiating and closing licensing agreements, also plays a key role in managing various licensing projects to ensure business continuity and processes that are central for the licensing business to achieve its business targets..
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Is a lead negotiator and closes patent licensing deals while taking into account strategy and business goals of the company.
Develops strategies and sets goals for licensing projects and relating customer engagement plans to deliver recurring revenue and manage team cost performance.
Is responsible for high quality of processes and standards in his/her own area. Is recognized as a thought leader within the organizational unit.
Supports organization in achieving business goals and targets. Ensures that working environment encourages innovation.
Demonstrates strategic thinking and a broad business perspective in order to design and develop projects, processes and content relevant especially for our patent licensing business.
Influences business strategy to address internal or external business and customer issues.
Your skills and experience
Significant relevant work experience. Experience in patent out-licensing is a must.
University degree: Master of Laws.
Proven deal-making skills - ability to understand all sides in a negotiation while seeking effective and creative solutions
Good negotiation, influencing and presentation skills as well as a team player mindset
Familiarity with patent licenses and related legal agreements is required.
Proven ability to draft patent licenses and related legal agreements
Project management skills, and determination to see things through to completion.
Thinks and acts creatively in order to develop and apply new innovative approaches to complex problems.
Analytical skills and understanding of financial analyses
Able to work with high degree of independence within agreed targets.
Willingness to travel and to work under pressure.
Communication skills, excellent command of written and spoken English

Additional Information
United States Salary Range: United States salary range: annual base salary of 124,320 - 265,070 USD plus eligibility for incentive/variable pay.
