Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Transportation Engineer in our Tinley Park, IL office. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their management skills while providing and making a direct impact to already established growing organization!

Job Activities:

+ Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.

+ Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects.

+ Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.

+ Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.

+ Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations.

+ Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.

+ May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer’s activities.

+ Actively participates in business development efforts and attends client meetings, making presentations in support of the client and projects.

Specific Requirements include:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program

+ 10-20 years transportation or traffic engineering experience

+ IDOT or local agency IL project experience is required

+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

+ Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and Administrators

+ Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously

+ Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer preferred
