Advance Compute (Workstation) Sales Specialist

Job Description

This role is for an Advance Compute Sales Specialist in the Central United States. You will be responsible for driving revenue and customer satisfaction for accounts in K-12 Schools Districts, Higher Education, and State and Local Government, to achieve required business targets. You will a champion our workstation products, including data science and AI offerings as you help new and existing SLED customers find and implement the best solutions. This is a client-facing sales position. Travel to customers sites will be required when appropriate. Having knowledge of the public sector market including how to identify, partner, compete and close business in this market is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide insight and advice to customers concerning applicability of specific products, applications, and services.

+ Identify and take the lead on complex Workstation opportunities.

+ Maintain competitor analysis to ensure understanding of the market.

+ Knowledge of product portfolio/configurations and solutions

+ Seek out new opportunities and expands and enhances existing opportunities to build and manage the pipeline in specialty area.

+ Maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position HP’s products and services better.

+ Develop pursuit plans and manage the pipeline to ensure alignment with account managers.

+ Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.

Education and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred. Directly related previous work experience is advantageous. Demonstrated success in achieving client facing / end user sales quota is required.

+ Extensive vertical industry knowledge desired

+ 5-8 years field relationship sales experience required.

+ Ability to team well with others

+ Oral and written communication skills

+ Account Management and business management skills
