Job Description

+ This involves managing and organizing all engineering-related documents for a particular project.

+ The engineer is responsible for thoroughly reviewing project specifications to ensure that design and documentation align with the requirements.

+ Gathering all necessary technical data and information needed for the engineering design process.

+ Creating Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Order Request (POR) packages for the procurement of necessary equipment and components.

+ Creating comprehensive lists of major materials required for the project based on information provided by vendors.

+ Reviewing and analyzing proposals and quotations submitted by vendors for equipment and components.

+ Ensuring that relevant information and engineering documents are distributed to the design team for implementation.

+ Providing engineering documentation and reports to the Project Manager or customer within agreed-upon timelines.

+ Reviewing and approving technical drawings and documents provided by vendors.

+ Incorporating customer feedback and comments into engineering documents to meet their specific requirements.

+ Conducting engineering calculations related to pumps, valves, and select structural components for the project.

+ Creating Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and shipping-related documents for equipment and components.

+ Developing various non-drawing documents, such as instrument data sheets, paint specifications, and procurement specifications.

+ Regularly updating the Project Manager and Engineering Manager on the progress of the project and any relevant engineering developments.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

+ Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.

+ Proven experience in the wastewater industry or related field (7+ years preferred).

+ Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.

+ Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

+ Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.

+ Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
