VP Digital Product

Camping World Holdings is looking to fill a Vice President of Digital Product position to continue to expand on our strategic initiative to create a seamless, full-service digital ecosystem for the recreationist. The VP position will work with business unit owners across Camping World’s Retail and Good Sam’s wide array of insurance, warranty, and protection products to build a cohesive experience for consumers to engage with our family of brands and accomplish business objectives. The individual will step into and lead the current team while being tasked to identify resource, talent, and expertise gaps to ensure the enterprise is poised for expedited growth. The product division acts as a digital support for established large-scale operations while also performing duties for the start-up divisions of the company like RV Rentals.

The VP of Digital Product will be directly responsible for the product roadmap, development strategy, UXUI evolution, and custom platform buildouts to ensure the enterprise remains competitive, grows in marketshare, and increases customer NPS. The position will require cross-functional collaboration with business owners, marketing, IT, and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure an aligned roadmap as well as resource allocation and prioritization. The role will also act as the company’s expert in product strategy. The VP will be required to partner in all aspects of product delivery with product owners, designers, developers, operations, analytics, marketing, legal, finance, accounting, HR, and other teams as needed.

Responsibilities

Manage the digital product strategy and executive communication for internal and consumer-facing technology

+ Drive the vision, strategy, and execution of the product roadmap for all digital products supporting each business / department

+ Manage the organization towards roadmap timelines

+ Cultivate relationships with business leaders to understand desired evolution of products that support those businesses and drive product innovation

+ Use qualitative customer research and data analysis to continuously inform, validate, and refine our product strategy

+ Drive analytics visibility and strategy for stakeholders on relevant product KPIs

+ Provide product market assessments for the enterprise in support of business goals

+ Set the 12 month product roadmap and hold quarterly product roadmap and planning sessions with the product management team to determine monthly execution plans

+ Present quarterly to stakeholders the product roadmap, updates, pivots, and new initiatives or ideas for potential investigation to gain leadership buy-in

+ Communicate to business unit leaders on a mutually agreed upon cadence based on desired visibility and involvement

Lead the Digital Product’s Product Management and QA organization

+ Lead a team of product managers that are dedicated to different business verticals and support their organization of product owners to deliver on comprehensive strategies, roadmaps, and timelines

+ Build a product management process that continually enhances the digital products based on continuous feedback loops, analytics, research, and market trends.

+ Take an active and iterative approach to new product initiatives. These initiatives should be identified by the product team and would be above and beyond business requests tied to operational goals.

+ Ensure product management gains alignment on roadmap and scope with all relevant stakeholders, inclusive of operations teams, marketing, analytics, etc.

+ For product-led features, build a process led by the product management team to work alongside operations and marketing teams to build a product marketing strategy

+ Build a daily/weekly product KPI management strategy that is owned by the product management organization to present back to operational leaders, inclusive of improvement suggestions, AB testing opportunities, and mitigation strategies for decreases in KPIs

+ Oversee the QA team’s process and strategy in support of the product management organization, inclusive of the evolution to automated QA and improved regression testing standards

+ Manage the organization’s accountability and effectiveness in accomplishing projects and roadmaps in a timely manner

Lead the Digital Product’s UXUI strategy

+ Lead the UXUI strategy that supports the different business verticals and product management teams, inclusive of research, design standards, and capacity planning

+ Lead internal reviews for feature and UI design, art direction and other UX/UI responsibilities

+ Develop the UXUI process, in collaboration with the product management team

+ Establish and oversee a framework for incubation work in conjunction with operations and marketing teams to conceptualize, storyboard and produce design artifacts including wireframes, hi-fi designs, and style guides

+ Ensure UXUI organization defines style guidelines and consistency of visual design across product UI

+ Work with the UX research function in support of product evolution and iteration, inclusive of user testing, AB testing, UX interviews, sureveys, and other relevant research tactics

+ Manage the organization’s accountability and effectiveness in accomplishing projects and roadmaps in a timely manner

Lead the Digital Product’s development organization

+ Oversee development strategies that strive for flexibility in code and product to ensure product can easily pivot to new business strategies moving forward

+ Ensure development strategies strive towards a modern technology stack that meets the needs of business objectives and the required flexibility of the development organization

+ Build a comprehensive tagging strategy that captures events, user flows, and transactions that integrate with the enterprise’s master database

+ Meet with stakeholders quarterly to understand needed evolution on analytics visibility for the relevant digital products

+ Ensure products have appropriate data integrations internally to empower analytics, marketing, decision making, and business analytics teams to segment consumers

+ Set the standard for analytics and data management and collaborate with enterprise architects, engineers and business teams to support analytics execution

+ Manage the organization’s accountability and effectiveness in accomplishing projects in a timely and quality manner

+ Assess development process for each development team, including resourcing, to determine needed changes based on business objectives

Education & Experience

+ Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in product, business, computer science, development or related field.
