Job Description

Global food safety and quality partner with multiple laboratories across the country and worldwide. Offers services to the food and nutrition industry in the way of testing, auditing, consulting, training, research, and other various services. Work in state-of-the-art laboratories at competitive compensation, across multiple shifts and with generous overtime available.

Location: Remote – Preferred Chicago, Gainesville, Bentonville areas.

Pay: 81k-106k (depending on experience)

Job Type: Direct Hire / Full Time

Responsibilities

+ Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to consistently meet and exceed sales goals for the assigned Client Expert Services group.

+ Utilize various communication channels, including telephone, video calls, client in-person appointments, conferences/trade shows, and emerging technologies as adopted by the company.

+ Conduct thorough qualification of potential leads by uncovering the contact’s needs, reasons behind those needs, and other pertinent business details to enhance the likelihood of securing business opportunities.

+ Present the company’s capabilities and technical qualifications to potential clients. Collaborate with technical experts when necessary to prepare clients for technical proposals or quotes.

+ Uncover critical information such as budget range, decision-making processes, desired project start or completion dates, and other key variables during the proposal phase.

+ Take ownership of the proposal process, including the writing of proposals and collaborative efforts with technical experts for joint proposals.

+ Ensure that all proposals are delivered within agreed-upon time frames.

+ Provide support to the sales team by conducting routine account business reviews, either through web-based or in-person meetings when specific services are utilized.

+ Collaborate with team members on the seamless transition and management of projects that have been successfully sold and closed.

+ Work closely with the Marketing department to develop and update content relevant to the role. Additionally, coordinate and manage special projects to enhance sales and marketing efforts.

+ Provide clients with up-to-date information to maintain the company’s image as technical leaders in the industry.

+ Continuously develop and maintain professional selling skills and technical service expertise through available training programs on company services, emerging technologies, industry trends, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

+ Ability to travel 40%-50% of the time.

+ 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.

+ MUST have strong knowledge of food science from a bachelor’s degree or from equal experience within the food testing industry.

+ MUST have Strong knowledge of Research testing programs and experience in the lab or selling these specific services or experience working R&D at a food company with an emphasis on research programs.

+ Strong knowledge of sensory programs.
