What You'll Do:
Manage. Responsible for project management of engineering/construction projects including but not limited to opportunity/ problem identification, potential options for resolution, project estimates, resource requirements, detailed schedule, and work plans, detailed designs, bid requests, and overall construction management. Proactively manages project costs to meet budget and established timelines. Monitors progress and makes adjustments as needed. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Design. Uses AutoCAD to perform design tasks and produce drawings. Draws on internal/external mechanical and civil designer resources as required, who produce the majority of drawings.
Inspect. Provides field supervision/inspection services on construction projects. Performs post-project review to ensure key objectives, cost/performance improvements, and rate of return are achieved;
Prepare Bid Packages. Prepares bid packages for construction and manages construction contracts.
Provide Updates. Provide project updates on a regular frequency to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress;
Represent the Company. Represents the company to industry associations, government officials and public agencies.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Skills You'll Need:
Education.Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience.8+ years of project management and related experience with experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Strong familiarity with project management and engineering software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle. Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

Trusts and allows people to do their job, holding them accountable for the full extent of their responsibilities. Develops innovative solutions to problems by trying non-obvious or non-traditional approaches.
Organizational Skills.Identifies and defines clear short-term goals and/or work outcomes that are required to implement strategic goals.
Problem Solving.Proven ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Detail oriented. Follows through with commitments and solves problems in a timely fashion. Deals skillfully and promptly with new situations. Ask a series of probing questions to go beyond surface issues and fully understand the components of a problem and its root causes.
Analytical Skills. Verifies assumptions or interpretations by checking with credible sources or through first-hand observation and data-gathering.
Computer Skills.Advanced computer skills including spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Skill in drawing and designing with AutoCAD/land desktop preferred.
Interpersonal Communication. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and must be extremely resourceful. Communicates clearly and listens carefully in an open, candid, and consistent manner.
High Integrity.Acts with unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promoting company policies and holding self and other employees accountable, keeping promises and commitments.
