Summary: This position supports, evaluates, interprets, and clarifies accreditation standards and facility activities for cancer accreditation programs. Ensures accurate and consistent evaluation of current accreditation program standards through technical site visit assessment reviews, including oversight of Accreditation Reports, deficiency resolutions, and accredited program support. Develops and disseminates educational activities concerning cancer program activities and standards interpretation, including, but not limited to educational workshops and webinars, and online educational resources.
This exempt position will report to the Manager, Cancer Accreditation in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.
Responsibilities:
Completion of technical site visit assessment reviews and deficiency resolution reviews to evaluate facility compliance with cancer-related accreditation program standards. Provides thorough comments and ratings on Accreditation Reports, disseminates information to programs, and follows up on deficiency resolution.


Provides customer service to internal and external constituents by answering questions and educational insight via multiple mechanisms, including but not limited to: CAnswer Forum, accreditation program email boxes, telephone, and email. Assigned to author educational materials (articles and webinars) as needed.


Provides support for developing education and training for accredited programs and site reviewer teams. Attends educational programs to present and provide information via exhibits as needed.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.


At least 2+ years of similar or related experience is preferred; experience in a healthcare, non-profit organizations, and/or accreditation experience is a big plus.


Knowledge of, or ability to learn, specialized software (such as internal database systems) and the accreditation standards.


Database management, data manipulation, advanced data reporting and data analysis skills are required.


Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and navigating web pages.


Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are required; editing experience is a plus.
