Job Description
Central Illinois Security is looking for an Inventory Specialist to manage and oversee the inventory and asset management for our organization. The Inventory Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our security equipment and resources are accounted for, well-maintained, and readily available for our security teams. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team.
Our Inventory Specialist is based in our Springfield, IL office. This is a full-time, in office role (work from home/hybrid work is not an option for this position). You will be paid an hourly salary with paid overtime, if necessary. You will be eligible for full benefits that include health/dental insurance, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, and access to our on-site health club.
Inventory Specialist Responsibilities:
+ Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of all security equipment and assets, including surveillance cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other security devices.
+ Inventory Tracking:Regularly update and monitor inventory levels, ensuring that supplies are replenished as needed and maintaining an efficient flow of equipment.
+ Documentation:Keep detailed records of inventory transactions/distributions and update inventory databases and systems.
+ Ordering and Receiving:Coordinate with suppliers to order security equipment and receive, process, and inspect deliveries.
+ Reporting:Generate reports on inventory status, usage, and upcoming needs; providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
+ Loss Prevention:Implement security measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage to inventory and assets.
+ Collaboration:Work closely with the procurement team to manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms for purchases.
Candidate Requirements:
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory control or related field.
+ Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Quick books, and database management tools.
+ Ability to lift to 50 pounds – for example, a wall-mounted data rack, or wire/cable spools.
+ Experience working with inventory management systems will make you a stronger candidate.
