The Controls Engineer will have exposure to real-time control systems and manufacturing applications. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and programming manufacturing execution systems, reporting systems, and real-time control/ SCADA applications. This role in particular, will have a heavy focus on troubleshooting and maintaining existing automation systems.
Additional Job Duties:
+ Evaluating and specifying performance criteria, installation, and configuration requirements for process and automation control equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, machine network equipment, and motion control systems.
+ Evaluating, inspecting, testing, and specifying performance criteria, bill of material, methods of construction, and installation of control panels
+ Writing detailed control logic descriptions and programming requirements to meet the design intent of the garage door manufacturing processes
+ Extensive troubleshooting of complex, integrated factory automation systems
+ Preparing written operations and maintenance manuals for factory automation systems
+ Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:
+ BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline and or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience or SCADA experience, Inductive Automation preferred
+ Database, PLC, HMI, and SCADA experience
+ Strong troubleshooting PLC programming experience (Siemens preferred)
+ Siemens S7 PLC Programing, including data and function blocks
+ Simotion
+ Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet IP
+ RS View
+ RS Logix 5000
+ Experience creating new systems and starting up new projects
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
