Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented recent civil engineering graduate Transportation Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be involved in transportation projects that will improve how people get around Chicago and throughout the Midwest.

What You’ll Be Doing:

+ Preparation of plans, sketches, and details for transportation projects primarily involving roadways utilizing CADD and other technical tools.

+ Assist with engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and schedules.

+ Assist with the preparation of design, drainage, traffic, crash, and other technical reports including report text, exhibits, and other investigations.

+ Provide input and technical knowledge to support other staff working on the same project including interaction with all levels of design professionals and disciplines.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

+ BSCE and coursework that supports transportation related projects including roadway, drainage, and traffic engineering.

+ CADD experience (preferably MicroStation) and ability to learn new software.

+ 0 to 3 years of related experience post-graduation.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

+ Transportation engineering experience gained through an internship

+ EIT or the desire and ability to obtain it within 6 months

+ Good interpersonal skills and desire to work with a team of technical experts.

+ Technical accuracy and desire to continually improve skills.

Salary Range:

$24.18 – $42.31
