Life at Intel Diversity at Intel During your internship you will work on CPU design in the DEG business group. Responsibilities of the role include, although not limited to – Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for CPU development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Define module interfaces and formats for simulation Perform Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into CPU full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for CPUs. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Perform all aspects of the CPU design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. Analyze equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. Review vendor capability to support development.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must be pursuing a master’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science with 3+ months experience or knowledge in:

VLSI circuit design Synthesis system Verilog validation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in:x86 CPU architecture++ assembly Perl Python programming

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
