As a Senior Patent Counsel you will be a part of a world class team of patent professionals with decades of experience and will be focusing specifically on SEP Litigation.
The job will include holistic liability of Nokia's Cellular Standard Essential Patents prepared and used in litigation across the world.
Duties will require close co-operation with both in-house and external technical and legal teams consisting of exceptional individuals that have been awarded as best in business.
What you will learn and contribute to

We are complementing the team with qualified Patent Counsel who can contribute to strengthening the value of Nokia cellular SEP portfolio.
As part of our team, you will:
Identifying and preparing new patents for litigation
Coordinating and reviewing work results from external counsels
Being responsible for infringement and validity related matters in patent litigation activities globally
Participate in strategy development regarding key issues influencing current and future litigations
Supporting patent licensing activities by preparing argumentation and participating in technical discussions with licensees
Your skills and experience
You are an experienced patent professional/patent counsel with:
MSc/PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics/Mathematics or equivalent, combined with Patent Attorney or LLM qualification
Experience with 3GPP radio technologies
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
It would be nice if you also had:
Experience in FRAND licensing and patent litigation
Abilities to lead, motivate and inspire others
Drive for excellent results
Initiative to develop new and better ways of doing things
Great skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Additional Information
United States Salary Range: United States salary range: annual base salary of 124,320 - 265,070 USD plus eligibility for incentive/variable pay.
