This position will provide the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines. Typical task breakdown: • Administer the NPI prototype assembly process to ensure that Engineering drawings are released and processed on time for NPI build and that the detailed assembly instructions are developed • Train new experimental mechanics and develops training programs to ensure functional expertise is achieved • Engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues including ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns • Work with operations leaders and machine engineers to develop and manage projects that ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes are in place to produce quality service for machine product groups • Provide manufacturing technical support in process control and safety. • Coordinate the purchase and application of machine tools, controls and related equipment corporate wide to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and safety of operations. • Design complex or intricate jigs and fixtures. • Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties. Interaction with team: • Will interact frequently with facility and operations leadership along with operations employees Work environment: • Mix of office and shop floor environment Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering required. • 8-10 years of relevant experience required. Technical Skills: (Required) • Microsoft 365 experience (excel, word, ppt, etc) • Work instruction authoring experience • Previous experience evaluating processes and technical solutions (Desired) • Safety FMEA Development Leadership Soft Skills: (Required) • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions. • Presentation skills (presenting to senior leadership) • Organization skills (highly organized) Benefits: For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
