Job Description
Join our News Team as a Photographer/Editor Fill-In.
Responsibilities: The Photographer/Editor is responsible for the operation of cameras, editing and microwave equipment used in electronic newsgathering. Qualifications:+ Undergraduate degree in broadcasting or similar major required.
+ Must know spot news, but have an eye for creative storytelling, as well.
+ Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs) and work various shifts.
+ Ability to maneuver and operate a live truck required.
+ Driver’s license required as position requires driving.
+ Good communication skills, sound editorial judgment and familiarity with Chicago city streets a plus.
+ Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus.
+ Three to five years television news gathering, editing and microwave experience required.
+ Must include a link to online reel with your resume!
+ Position requires IBEW membership.
