The Director, Instrument Planning for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity. Is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans. May also be responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.

This position is part of the Global Supply Chain function located in Richmond or Deer Park, IL and will be hybrid with a minimum of four days a week onsite. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Global Supply Chain Material Planning Team and report to the VP, Operations and Supply Chain responsible for leading the Richmond site Operations for Leica Biosystems Consumables and Global Supply Chain worldwide. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Manage and coordinate PSI (IBP/S&OP) discussion with our core manufacturing sites, our finished goods suppliers, our Selling Unit teams regionally and our planning teams to optimize inventory, OTD and operating costs.

+ Responsible for Demand, Supply and Inventory balancing across our sites.

+ Drive continuous improvement of our planning processes and system, deploying DMS (Danaher Material System) tools and methodologies such as PSI, IMAG, MRP, MTO and Kanban to drive improvement.

+ Play a pivotal role in supporting our ERP development and planning system to enable more efficient and effective operating processes.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ 5 or more years of experience in global operations or supply chain roles within a manufacturing company.

+ Experience using Microsoft Excel and BI tools.

+ Strong process acumen and demonstrated experience developing, modifying and improving processes to deliver results.

+ Experience leading teams in a global environment (e.g.: China, Europe)

+ Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Concepts

+ Working in a highly regulated environment

The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $175,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
