Job Description

JOB DUTIES: Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties. Trim trees and brush. Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower. Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers. Good stamina and physical health. WORK LOCATION: 11N890 Orchard Lane, Elgin, IL 60124 (plus additional locations in Kane and Cook Counties). There is no travel requirement for this position. Anticipated work hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (days and hours may vary). Anticipated start date is 04/01/2024 and anticipated end date is 11/30/2024. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Worker will be paid bi-weekly. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Wage is $18.93/hr. Overtime is available. Overtime wage will be $28.40 per hour. The worker will be provided with or reimbursed for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50 percent of the period of employment covered by the job order, consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i). The amount for daily subsistence will be at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide or pay for the worker's cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the employer, if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of the period, consistent with § 655.20(j)(1)(ii). The amount for daily subsistence will be at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k).
