Date Posted: 01/04/2024 Hiring Organization: Rose International Position Number: 456108 Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Location: Mapleton, IL, USA, 61547 Employment Type: Temporary Estimated Duration (In months): 13 Min Hourly Rate($): 40.00 Max Hourly Rate($): 47.00 Must Have Skills/Attributes: Engine Management, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineer, PowerBI, Six Sigma, Testing Job Description **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.** **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.** Manufacturing Engineer (Metallurgical) Client Job ID: 29708 Schedule: Mon – Fri 7am – 3pm CST – 100% onsite Major Purpose: • Improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of metallurgical inspections of large engine castings • Provide engineering support in maintaining and upgrading metallurgical testing capabilities Typical Day in the Role • Revise and document improvements of existing metallurgical inspection processes • Develop and document processes related to metallurgical and chemical testing of iron castings • Collaborate with metallurgists, lab managers, and operators to provide data-driven root cause analysis related to day-to-day Met Lab safety and process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements • Work with process partners to contribute to area SFMEAs updates and risk mitigations Interaction with team: • Interact daily with management and production employees Work environment: • Primarily lab, and office environments Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, manufacturing, materials science, or related technical field OR minimum 7 years of job-related experience (quality, manufacturing, engineering) Technical Skills (Required) • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including PowerBI • 6Sigma problem solving toolkit • Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures (Desired) • Knowledge of client quality and manufacturing systems such as EtQ, Infinity, Redi, Dozuki, etc. • General understanding of metallurgical processes and testing • Hands on and mechanically and/or electrically inclined Soft Skills (Required) • Zero-Injury and Stop-to-Fix mindset • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams Benefits: For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
