+ Practice Detail: Join Ascension Medical Group Ob/Gyn Team and practice with a very experienced and well-respected Physician and Midwife

+ EMR System: Cerner and Athena

+ Facility: Ascension St. Alexius Medical Center

+ Location: Hoffman Estates, IL and Lake Zurich, IL

Responsibilities

Ascension Illinois is looking for a BC/BE Ob/Gyn Physician for our Ob/Gyn Department.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

+ Nice mix of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Surgical Cases

+ Opportunity to work with residents if interested

+ Busy practice, 25 deliveries per month

+ Beautiful Women and Childrens Hospital

+ Level III NICU and PICU

+ All private rooms

+ Access to several sub-specialists

Responsibilities:

+ Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

+ Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

+ Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

+ Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.

+ Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

+ Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration :

+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.

+ Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
