Design Engineer

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8am – 4pm (hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Major Purpose:
• The main function of a Design Engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work.
Typical Day in the Role
• Document requirements and improvements in the Teamcenter workflow area.
• Attend development team demos and provide feedback on designs
Interaction with team:
• The ePLM team is working in an Agile based development format. There are daily iteration meetings to discuss progress and plan next steps.
• Fast paced environment
• MS Teams, Email
Work environment:
• Primarily virtual: Most meetings with be via teams as the ePLM team is based globally.
• When in office, standard office setting
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
• Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of EDS and RASTAR systems, both user facing and background technical /security mechanics
• Knowledge of working technical relationships between EDS, RASTAR, and Teamcenter
• Knowledge of BNU and systematic relationship between EDS and Teamcenter
• Ability to adapt current functionalities of existing programs into Teamcenter, while understanding ramifications to historical ties
• Knowledge of administering Teamcenter security using Security Workflows
Soft Skills
(Required)
• Must have a great customer service attitude as most interactions are with our product development groups.
• Must be able to manage individual tasks without direct oversight.
