If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for aNetwork Engineer (Contract)to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. This will be a hybrid role, 3 days from our Lake Forest office with some travel to locations throughout the US.

Your Role:

As a Network Engineer you will design, implement, maintain, and support Reynolds’ growing network infrastructure. You will be part of an enterprise engineering team that is responsible for designing and implementing new technologies that meet business objectives. You will have the opportunity to:

+ Work with RCP’s managed service provider’s engineering team to configure and install various network devices and services like LANs, WANs, WLAN, SDWAN, Firewalls, SWGs, VPN, etc.

+ Be a part of the project implementation teams and make sure smooth implementation of the project as per defined architectures, policies and standards.

+ Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues during implementation or as needed by OPs teams.

+ Work within established ITSM procedures to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure, publish knowledge base (KB) articles as needed.

+ Be a liaison between vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement network and security measures.

+ Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation related to the network infrastructure, compiles as build configuration as part of project implementation and trains Ops teams for smoother operations.

+ Works other digital manufacturing teams and with plant engineers to implement and secure OT environments.

+ Collaborates with IT Security and Cyber Security teams to implement Network Access Control (NAC), access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, etc.

+ Performs other duties as assigned by management.

We need you to have:

+ University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject.

+ Proven experience as a Network Engineer in a similar or larger organization.

+ 6 years related experience in network engineering.

+ Deep understanding of networking protocols. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, load balancers, DHCP, DNS.

+ Good understanding of cloud networking components, AWS is preferred.

+ Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.

+ Proven experience and success with LAN, SDWAN, WLAN, Firewalls and VPC design and implementation.

+ Good understanding of VoIP phone systems and its components.

+ Solid understanding of network security principles, including access control, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

+ Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.

+ Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

+ Strong customer service orientation.

+ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

+ Ability to travel (5-10%).
