Job Description

The Director of Nursing Professional Practice will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the professional practice staff. Additionally, this experienced leader will be accountable for nursing development & competency planning, coordination of community and college partnerships, Magnet designation oversight, nursing quality, and nursing performance improvement activities. Facilitating the training to support the overall educational needs of the nursing staff will also be a job expectation, as well as promoting evidence-based practice through committee participation, policy development and communication with internal / external customers.

Job requirements include a BSN, a Master’s degree in nursing or in healthcare administration, and a minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience (manager or above) within a healthcare setting. Doctorate degree preferred.
