Job Description

Prologis Management LLC seeks a Construction Project Manager, Energy and Mobility in Chicago, IL. Duties: Coordinate all construction related deliverables from engineering, interconnection, and permitting through construction and commissioning; including working with local internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage, supervise, and coordinate with EPC partners as well as their multiple subcontractors/installers to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance including, local, state, and federal AHJ's, Utilities, Customers, and Prologis’ own requirements throughout the Project. Prepare or assist in the preparation of reporting that captures major project milestones, important notes, risk assessment, and other key metrics. Prepare material procurement strategies. Work with Prologis’ Utility reps to ensure timely interconnection approval and permission to operate within their service territory. Manage construction related contracting, deliverables, schedules, and change order reviews, from project engineering through construction and commissioning. Research new designs and construction specifications, innovations, code changes, and value engineering opportunities and implement those ideas through a collaborative process to enhance and futureproof Prologis’ buildings and energy and mobility systems without compromising functionality, value, or life cycle costs. Work with Prologis Procurement on direct-buy equipment purchases, and Subcontractor prequalification. Partner with local sales leads on energy proposals to assist with construction / execution related questions including staging, safety, quality, scope, schedule, cost reviews. Review and manage technical specifications, designs, scopes of work, commissioning reports and other energy related documents, as well as review and respond to Contractor RFIs. Hire and manage design professionals, consultants, contractors, and vendors by managing the subcontractor buyout process, conducting RFPs/RFQs of $1-50M through the development of scopes, bidding & evaluation processes, award, and contracting activities. Review/approve invoicing, lien releases, turnover documents, designs and other deliverables that are a required part of building and paying for energy projects and ensure these documents are filed properly. Represent Prologis, oversee and sometimes lead weekly vendor-facing meetings and customer-facing meetings at key milestones of each project. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering, Management Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 years of related experience communicate with Fortune 100 clients about renewable energy, solar, storage, and EV. Requires any amount of experience in the following: 1. Managing power purchase agreements with strict commissioning requirements, as well as design-build, storage and energy as-a-service agreements; 2. Managing complex multi-site portfolios and conducting due diligence in the renewable energy industry; 3. Managing construction of new wind or solar generation, battery energy storage, or similar commercial & industrial scale on-site energy generation projects. $137,280 - $187,200 Per year.  40% of travel required throughout the U.S. Applicants who are interested in this position may apply Ref #80241.
