Job Description
Requirements for this position are: · Minimum 1 years of experience in the mechanical design field. · Proficient at Solidworks. · Proficient at Microsoft products, Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc. · Proficient in Adobe PDF tools. · Good understanding of, and navigating through Microsoft Windows, and network file locations. · Good understanding of mechanisms and mechanical components, such as chain & sprockets, cams, linkage operation, air cylinders, gear drives, Ultrasonics, etc. · Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and being able to change from project to project seamlessly. · Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal to moderate direction, and receive positive critique of design development. · Work with others in a team atmosphere, taking direction from multiple sources to achieve a common goal or outcome. Scope of work will range from concept design, to complete assembly and sub-assembly creation with exploded view parts pages, to long term projects, to compiling all documentation through Microsoft tools, Adobe tools, and Solidworks for final approval Operation and Maintenance Manuals prior to equipment shipment. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be accountable for keeping the design phase of their projects on schedule, and work well in a multi-level team environment. Good organization and communication skills are a must. A 2 year college degree in mechanical design is a plus, but not required.
