Job Summary:
The Center for Translational Metabolism and Health (CTMH), part of the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM), is seeking a Research Technologist 2 position. The successful applicant will join a lab which focuses on the mechanisms regulating the production of the hormone FGF23 by bone and how these mechanisms are involved in the progression of Chronic Kidney Disease. The applicant should possess good organizational and communication skills and a strong background in molecular biology, including experience in expression and analysis of nucleic acids. The applicant should have experience in working with animals.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Following protocols, designs, sets-up and conducts basic experiments.
· Analyzes and troubleshoots protocols and data obtained from individual experiments and recommends alternatives and suggestions to improve processes, validity and/or accuracy.
