Job Description

Job title: Senior Software Engineer, job location: Rosemont, IL- but remote work anywhere in the U.S. will be considered. Responsibilities: • Translate business goals into technical requirements and provide technical expertise and guidance to project stakeholders and team members. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web solutions that meet business needs throughout the project lifecycle. • Use markup languages like HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) to create user-friendly web pages. • Design responsive websites using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) media queries and Bootstrap. • Using AEM (Adobe Experience Management) to layout pages, templates, create components, troubleshoot issues, and train system authors. • Collaborate with Visual Design and User Experience teams to develop effective and engaging designs. • Utilize reusable templates and common HTML elements while leveraging centralized JavaScript libraries such as Angular and Vue.js and CSS frameworks such as LESS. • Conduct code and design reviews • Participate in Agile development processes, including daily standups, sprint planning and retrospectives. • Create user stories with effective problem statements, acceptance criteria, and qualification activities. • Stay current with emerging web development trends and technologies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 5 years of Software Engineering or related experience. The position also requires: • 5 years of experience in working with agile methodologies and effective communication of technical concepts and ideas to members of cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders through various means, including documentation, presentations, and demonstrations. • 3 years of experience in developing accessible websites with latest accessibility guidelines (currently WCAG 2.1), including WAG and 508, to ensure that all users can access and interact with web content and testing with screen readers and keyboard. • 5 years of experience in developing web UIs with AJAX, JSON, jQuery, and JavaScript UI frameworks such as Angular and Vue.js, and HTML5, while prioritizing writing semantic and accessible markup. • 5 years of experience Leveraging APIs to create dynamic web pages with various mockups, providing a dynamic and responsive user experience. • 5 years of experience working with Git, Bitbucket code repositories, including version control and code collaboration. • Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA. • 5 years of experience with AEM tools and features including AEM SPA Editor, AEM Core Component Site, AEM Custom components, HTL, Touch UI dialogs, Editable Template, Template Policy, Style System, Client Libraries, Responsive Authoring, and AEM Grid System. • 2 years of experience in Monitoring and managing AEM code deployments on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
