Job Description
The Lake County Jail operates utilizing 3 shifts where officers work 8.25-hour shifts. An officer’s schedule rotates working 5 days on, off 2 days, work 5 days, then off 3 days. Lake County Jail utilizes a direct supervision philosophy. Corrections officers are responsible for the safety, security of the facility, the inmates, and staff. Corrections officers maintain order and discipline in their assigned housing unit and transport inmates within the facility.
