Overview

Strategists on PepsiCo’s eCommerce Sales Strategy team are entrepreneurial leaders of innovation, developing new partnerships and building future capabilities for PepsiCo’s online channels – directly impacting how we sell and move our products. We’re a diverse, nimble, tech-led group growing share of online sales with partners such as Amazon, Walmart, Instacart and more.

With a team of almost 400 associates and offices in Manhattan, Chicago, Plano, and Silicon Valley, PepsiCo has been laser focused on meeting consumer needs and winning in the marketplace. Investing in eCommerce, digital capabilities and talent has been a huge part of that effort, with >$4 billion in retail sales projected for the rest of this year.

We’re seeking a Sales Strategy Manager that’s creative, analytical and forward thinking to collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders on innovations and solutions to grow a >4 billion dollar eCommerce business. This role will focus primarily on PFNA categories.

Responsibilities
Problem Solving and Analytics
* Provide thought leadership to business partners, including the Chairman, PepsiCo Executive Committee, and other operating leaders on a broad range of business-critical topics
* Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses
* Develop error free business performance deliverables and oversee data analytics processes to ensure conclusions are accurate and grounded in fact
* Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influencing skills with the ability to gain credibility with Sr Leadership while challenging the status quo

Strategy Development
* Lead portfolio optimization work in partnership with eComm sales teams to define portfolio priorities across channels and customers
* Drive H1/H2 white space exploration for snacks in partnership with PFNA BU
* Execute against time-sensitive requests from the EVP-Global Strategy, VP-Corporate Strategy, and cross-functional business partners
* Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends
* Build “Executive ready” project deliverables and is able to tell a story in a concise and compelling way visually

Project Management and Execution
* Assist in the planning and execution of various enterprise planning processes (e.g. AOP, SDD, exComm etc.)
* Develop clear, detailed project timelines and manage large cross-functional teams towards results
* Lead project teams comprised of Analysts and Managers; oversee all processes to ensure conclusions are grounded in fact

Capability Development
* Partner with global and BU NRM, eComm Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Sales teams to bring eCommerce NRM principles to life across the North America eComm Sales org (e.g.Training, Knowledge Management, etc.)
* Take an occasion first, shopper centric view of the categories we play in and identify long term strategic pack, price and mix and promo efficiency opportunities to maximize our revenue share, volume and profit delivery
* Support the US eComm Sales organization in delivering a pipeline of opportunities and test ideas that can become part of our upcoming AOP actions

Compensation and Benefits
* The expected compensation range for this position is between $100,000 - $182,500 based on a full-time schedule.
* Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
* A business development incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
* Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience with demonstrated progression in Strategy, Sales Strategy and/or eCommerce in a variety of positions both internally and externally. Top-tier management consulting firm experience strongly preferred
* BA required. MBA strongly preferred
* Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills
* Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks
* Outstanding project management skills
* High emotional Intelligence and verbal and written communication skills that educate and influence senior leaders; ability to “manage up”
* Experience managing teams and partnering with multiple business functions; high level of agility
* Ability to see around the corner and go beyond the obvious
* Love of Consumer Packaged Goods and our brands
* Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences; foreign language skills highly desired
* Mastery of Excel and Powerpoint is essential and understanding of syndicated data tools (e.g. IRI) is strongly preferred
