PowerShell Automation Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated PowerShell Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to streamline our deployment processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, experience with PSAppDeployToolkit, proficiency in VB.NET, familiarity with Microsoft MSSC (Microsoft System Center), and a solid understanding of Windows 10 environments. PowerShell Automation Engineer Responsibilities+ Develop, test, and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate various IT tasks, including software deployment, system configuration, and maintenance tasks.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design automation solutions, and implement best practices for PowerShell scripting.
+ Utilize PSAppDeployToolkit to package, deploy, and manage software installations across Windows 10 environments.
+ Troubleshoot and debug PowerShell scripts to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
+ Work closely with IT operations teams to monitor and optimize automation processes, ensuring reliability and scalability.
+ Provide technical expertise and guidance to support ongoing projects and initiatives related to automation and scripting.
+ Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PowerShell scripting and automation.
PowerShell Automation Engineer Requirments+ Proven experience as a PowerShell Automation Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.
+ Expertise in PowerShell scripting, including script development, debugging, and optimization.
+ Proficiency in using PSAppDeployToolkit for software deployment and management.
+ Solid understanding of VB.NET programming language.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft MSSC (Microsoft System Center) for system management and deployment.
+ Strong knowledge of Windows 10 operating system and associated technologies.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
+ Self-motivated and proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
PowerShell Automation Engineer Preferred Qualifications+ Minimum 2-3 years experience as an Automation Engineer
+ Certifications related to PowerShell scripting, Windows administration, or IT automation.
