Job Description
Grainger Management LLC is seeking a Software Engineer with the following duties: Lead Product Engineering Team(s) with migration of monolith services to modernization capabilities and deployment on cloud platform across multiple environments; Act as domain and technology subject matter expert (SME) across various digital B2B commerce solutions and establish best practices and guidelines; Leverage new technology developments and sensible defaults in both cloud and open-source environments and incorporate these technical skills into engineering projects; Responsible for delivery of fully functional and operational web modules involving SDLC including designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting software systems on SAP Hybris Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform; Design and create Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines (CI/CD) for teams to support on-demand deployments in production and test environments; Prepare technical roadmap and system documentation for business requirements shared by Product/Development managers and Engineering Business Analyst(s); Partner with Platform engineering teams to design solutions that automate non-functional requirements involving DevOps tools, containerization, GitHub Actions; Analyze business decisions and context of design choices and create Architecture Design Review (ADR) documentation for peer reviews; Contribute Full-stack source code and achieve high quality assurance (QA) on projects with object-oriented modelling and different programming languages/frameworks. Up to 60% remote work allowed.
