The Account Manager for Shakeproof Industrial accounts will have primary commercial responsibility for assigned accounts within the division. The incumbent will represent ITW Shakeproof’s technical capabilities, lead commercial negotiations, and support day to day activities with active and evolving accounts. They will develop and implement innovative sales programs, introduce new products, and deliver strong net margin growth. This position involves selling the full portfolio of brands to the assigned account(s).

+ Responsible for customer(s) new and existing product portfolio, price, and brand strategy

+ Lead complex negotiations on new and existing business

+ Identify, develop, and deploy comprehensive strategies to profitably grow assigned accounts

+ Effectively manage accounts, opportunities, and contacts in CRM

+ Work with internal team to develop accurate cost/price models and negotiation strategy from initial request to implementation of final agreement

+ Coordinate with inside sales team to create a full omni-channel customer experience

+ Communicate frequently with customer; visit customer as required to maintain or achieve healthy relationships at all levels of their organization

+ Establish personal rapport with customer to identify current and future needs, while working with cross-functional team to develop technical solutions to meet those needs

+ Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or related field

+ Two (2) years minimum of industrial goods sales experience

+ Strong customer focus, communication, decision-making and influencing skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

+ Strong presentation creation skills

+ Strong project management and organizational skills

+ Drive for results and strong negotiation skills

+ Strategic (plan development) and tactical (sales execution) mind-set

+ Up to 40% travel time, dependent on remote office and accounts assigned


+ Be self-driven and self-motivated requiring limited supervision to deliver results

+ Care about satisfying customers, partners, and their needs

+ Team player, able and willing to work with others to get the job done

+ Intermediate to advanced negotiation skills

+ Accountability and ownership; willing to follow procedures and to improve them

+ Path forger: not afraid of finding alternative roads to win, asking questions and escalating within the customer as needed
